The task of remote monitoring  of pipeline infrastructure is presented with unique challenges. In most cases this critical infrastructure is located in remote locations and with limited connectivity options. In many cases, companies require the use of existing SCADA connectivity to these remote locations. With satellite connectivity of as low as 33 kbs shared with SCADA data, The Penfold Group Groups solutions have to share this limited pipeline as efficiently as possible.  An IP Video solution with local storage and on demand access, is the most effective solution to this challenge. The TCP/IP traffic of the monitoring solution allows for the most optimization of this limited pipeline.

The Solution

IP Video Security with Motion activation and event driven reporting.  The completely integrated solutions combine intelligent image analysis on-site with megapixel image resolution to provide remote operators with the critical information they need. In the event of intrusion or equipment malfunction, having the correct and most detailed data can allow for the correct response action.  To reduce costs, data is only sent through the relay server when an event occurs or an operator request is performed. Each event is recorded on site at several megapixel video resolution and is able to be streamed to the remote operator at the resolution best fitting the viewing and network requirements.
